About This Event
Epic trail ultra through Collie's world-class adventure trails. Choose 100km solo, 50km solo, or team up for the 80km relay across jarrah forests, granite outcrops and the stunning Collie River Valley.
Course Description
The Collie River Ultra traces the Wiilman Bilya Trail and surrounding bushland through some of Western Australia's finest trail running terrain. Runners navigate dense jarrah, marri and yarri forests, cross timber bridges over creeks, scramble across granite outcrops, and are rewarded with sweeping views of the Collie River Valley and the iconic Wellington Dam — home to one of the largest dam murals in the Southern Hemisphere. The course starts at Collie Cemetery and finishes at Collie Golf Club, with multiple staffed transition points offering drop bags and aid station support. The trails wind through $10 million worth of purpose-built adventure infrastructure, making this one of the best-supported ultra courses in the South West.

Weather & What to Pack
September in Collie marks the tail end of winter, with cool to mild conditions ideal for trail running. Expect morning temperatures of around 6–10°C at the 6:00 AM start, rising to 16–20°C by mid-afternoon. Light rain is possible, making trails potentially muddy in sections. Spring wildflowers are at their peak. Dress in moisture-wicking layers, carry a lightweight jacket for early hours, and stay on top of hydration despite the cool temperatures.
