Weather & What to Pack
May in Kurnell brings pleasant autumn conditions with morning temperatures typically ranging from 12-18°C. Expect crisp starts with possible light coastal breezes from Botany Bay. The aquathlon swim temperature will be around 18-20°C, comfortable for wetsuits. Early morning cloud often clears to sunshine by mid-event. Dress in light layers for running events, bringing a warm top for pre-race. Sun protection is advisable as UV levels can still be moderate. The flat, exposed foreshore offers limited shade, so stay hydrated throughout. Check weather forecasts in the week leading up to the event for any changes.
