TreX Port Stephens showcases the stunning natural beauty of Fingal Bay and Tomaree National Park with challenging off-road terrain. The swim takes place in the crystal-clear waters of Fingal Bay, whilst the mountain bike course winds through the rugged bushland of Tomaree National Park with technical single-track sections, sandy patches, and rewarding coastal views. The trail run navigates coastal tracks and beach sections, combining sand running with bush trails. As part of the Triathlon NSW Cross Triathlon State Championships, this course tests technical bike handling and trail running skills in one of NSW's most picturesque coastal settings. Fingal Bay is located approximately 30km east of Newcastle via Nelson Bay Road. From Newcastle, follow the Pacific Highway to Salamander Bay, then Frost Road to Fingal Bay.
