Course Description

The 2027 Top Dog 24 course is a linear, mixed‑terrain adventure that starts and finishes at Race HQ adjacent to Brooks Oval in Googong. Full‑course teams will cover roughly 25–35 km of trekking, 60–70 km of mountain biking and 15–25 km of kayaking, navigating through bushland, ridgelines, lakes and river sections. The Little Dog half‑course offers about half the distance – 12–20 km trekking, 30–50 km biking and 8–15 km paddling – still within the same scenic landscape. All legs are unknown until hours before the start, demanding strong navigation skills and teamwork. Teams must stay within 100 m of each other and manage their own sleep and nutrition on the 24‑hour clock.

Getting There

The race hub is at 14 Heazlett Street, Googong, NSW, next to Brooks Oval. Parking is available at the nearby sports complex, but exact details and public‑transport options should be checked on the official event website. Arrive early to allow time for gear drop, registration and the compulsory race briefing.
