Event Details
Course Description
The race takes place on the golden sands of Bellerive Beach, just off 3 Derwent Street and adjacent to Ninja Stadium. Competitors start with a 300‑metre (Short Course) or 1‑kilometre (Sprint) open‑water swim in the calm waters of the Derwent River, followed by a flat, fast run along the beachfront promenade and parkland to a finish on the grass. The short course offers a 2.5 km run, while the sprint challenges athletes with a 5 km loop that showcases the coastal scenery and gentle sea breezes. Both routes are well‑marked and supported by volunteers, making it an accessible and enjoyable beach‑side experience.
