Challenge Canberra takes place on the picturesque shores of Lake Burley Griffin at Black Mountain Peninsula in Acton. The swim courses utilise the calm, deep waters of the lake with mass starts from the peninsula. The bike course showcases Canberra's well-maintained roads with rolling terrain around the lake and surrounding areas, offering spectacular views of Australia's capital. The run leg follows flat to gently undulating paths along the lake foreshore, providing a fast finish with iconic Canberra landmarks as your backdrop. As a World Qualifying Event for the Multisport World Championships, the courses are professionally measured and certified, offering participants a true championship racing experience in one of Australia's most scenic capital settings.

Black Mountain Peninsula is located off Clunies Ross Street in Acton, approximately 5km from Canberra CBD. Free parking is available at the venue, though spaces fill quickly on race morning - arrive by 4:30 AM if competing in early waves.
