About This Event

The fifth instalment of the Ocean Dragons junior triathlon series at Manly Dam. Kids aged 5–15 swim, ride and run age-appropriate courses in a fun, supportive community event. Relay teams and leg-skipping options make it accessible for all levels.

Course Description

Set at the picturesque Section 3 of Manly Dam in Manly Vale, this junior triathlon course is designed with young athletes in mind. Younger competitors (ages 5–8) tackle a 100m open-water swim, a 3km bike leg around the dam's scenic paths, and a 1km run to the finish. Older juniors (ages 9–15) step it up with a 200m swim, 6km ride, and 2km run. The natural bushland surrounds and calm dam waters create a safe, spectacular environment for kids to experience the full triathlon journey. Transition zones are clearly marked and marshalled, making race day smooth and exciting for first-timers and returning competitors alike.
